The 239th winner of the St Leger, held on Saturday 12th September 2015 over 1 mile 6 furlongs and 132 yards of Town Moor, was Simple Verse, a bay filly by Duke of Marmalade out of Guantanamera, owned by Qatar Racing, Al Thani and Al Kubaisi. A field of 7 runners contested the race which was worth £393,737. (Equivalent to £405,500 in 2017)
